Rome
- Piero Piccioni, author of over 100 Movie Soundtracks, has
suddenly died last night at his home in Rome.
He was born in Turin the 6 December 1921. Piccioni had written
the music for almost all the films of and with Alberto Sordi,
but he had worked for many Italian films directed by Francesco
Rosi, Alberto Lattuada, Luigi Comencini, Luchino Visconti, Antonio
Pietrangeli, Bernardo Bertolucci and Vittorio De Sica.
